    Post Greetings and salutations

I am a newcomer to the forum by way of Penny Arcade. I've been making crude maps for gaming purposes for over two dozen years ("mmm...graph paper"). I got more serious with the advent of 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons and trying to make tile maps for combat encounters. I'm surprised that I never stumbled across this group before but I guess that the Internet ocean is vast and deep.

So I'll be learning (and copying) techniques from the veterans and posting some of my own heavy-handed attempts in the weeks to come.

    Welcome Aboard!

Lots of great tutorials for you to check out. Don't be afraid to post up stuff in the WIP forums and ask questions, etc.

Hey hey now. Don't be dissing the graph paper. I'm pretty sure all of us 'experts' here all started on graph paper.

Welcome to the Guild. You are in good hands here.

I do some sketching on graph paper still, especially for dungeons and interiors. Slowly switching to digital only thou... The pencil mapping is a dying art
