Very cool map, did you plan it all out or did it just evolve?
I notice at least 10 Tolkein-inspired names in there, very awesome.
This for D&D or something else?

I had a quite detailed sketch on paper and I had dosens of places with background I wanted to add into the map. But of course some things evolved during the creation and in some plases i went back and forth many times.

Indeed there are several names in the south that are Tolkien inspired. There shouldn't be any directly from tolkien but I haven't cross checked. I'm running a home brewn game with quite unique set of rules (at least I have not seen anything like the one we have).

Very immersive map. Just makes you want to pore over it for hours, studying every detail. Well done on the well-disguised locations, the engaging textures and overall map dynamic. A real triumph.

Neeeeeat. I probably wouldn't have the patience to do something so detailed, even though I'd want to.
There are some names straight from Tolkien, such as the Falls of Rauros, Rohan (even though there was no bay called Rohan in Middle-Earth) and the Trollshaws. Otherwise, awesome names. How detailed information do you have on the marked battlefields?
