    Map Village by the River

This is my first post in here and I decided to use it to post one of my finished maps. It's a small village by the river which sits on stilts above a muddy ground. The map was done in Photoshop with Wacom board.

    Nice!

I think the only 'criticism' I would have is that the shadowing isn't consistent, but I'm bad about that as well so it's not a big deal.

This is excellent. Only thing I'd add is some blocks on the gray stone structures. Man, I gotta get me a tablet, this is nice.

    Very nice.

I agree with SG about the shadows - your boardwalks are throwing the same length of shadows as the castles!

I love the dark lines and dirtied up textures. This is very pretty indeed. Welcome over.

Thanks everyone for your comments! Absolutely true about the shadows, didn't even think about it earlier. That's one thing to keep in mind when making my next map.
