    Post Hello, Everyone

Hello, Everyone! I have played D&D for a while now and have always enjoyed the mapmaking process. A few years ago I picked up a copy of CC3. Recently, the webcomic Penny Arcade mentioned how helpful the maps of this site have been for their game. I look forward to collaborating with the many talented cartographers here.

And receiving advice on my own maps. I could definitely use it!

    Welcome to the Guild.

Because the maps that were mentioned in Penny Arcade (The Thunderspire ones at least) were done by myself, I will tell you that I made all the thunderspire maps with CC3 and it's add ons. 99.9%! The reason for the 0.1% is I 'added' bit maps fills and a few images from other sources, but otherwise the images/maps are 100% CC3. No after affect. So, YOU TOO CAN DO IT! And that my friend is really cool to know.

Those were in CC3? Wow. Its a great program. I've never really used it for dungeons though. The Dungeon Tiles have always been enough for my game. Making maps for each encounter in the program just seems labor-intensive. Not that making maps is a labor, but I could use the time for planning.

And I could always just mooch off of the wonderful maps here
