Thread: 3d paper environments

    Post 3d paper environments

    Good Day,

Currently I'm trying to find something, but have no luck so far. I'm not sure where, but in the past there were people who were able to work with paper/cardboard and make 3d environments. They also shared lay-outs. So I could simply print those out, fold, cut, mangle it a little hehe

I'd like to do something similar, but not that elaborate. Just a tree with a plateau to put a miniature or two on it for example.

Hopefully someone could be so kind to help me find it. Would greatly help to make the DND maps come more to life in 3d.

If you're willing to spend a few bucks there's a whole bunch of build it environmental stuff you can download as pdfs. Could save you some work.

RPGNow.com has a bunch mostly under $5. There are also some freebies\promos in the bunch.

At the bottom of the Screen is a the WEBRING for Papermodels. Likely something good there:

Holy crap. Yeah, these are amazing. I really want to get in detail like this when I start my game in a few months, but I know I won't have the money to, sadly.

I have seen things like this before. The biggest was Hewels castle paper model - that was outrageous. But anyway I digress...

What I wanted to say was; Why don't we have this as a challenge ? Make a map for something / anything out of paper which converts into 3D ?

Would be good to see the photos of the models lined up.

    Check this:

    http://www.worldworksgames.com/

They have a wide range of 3d paper "print, cut and glue" set ups.
