    Wip Aennea WIP

Hi! I've been experimenting and drawn a lot in the Gimp for a time, and this is my current project. Hopefully i will not give up on it (as I've done with several other maps which I've not posted) But anyway, it's still a looong way to go before this map is finished. The next step is to figure out the tectonic plates and where the mountains will be and how I'm going to draw them (yes, i know I should plan the tectonic plates before i draw the map, but I'm lazy ).
All tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

In all my life I have never been able to get purple and green to work together...kudos for that. Nice colors, nice style...hope to see more.

Gotta agree with you Ascension - normally Purple & Green is a train wreck of colors. But this really doesn't clash at all.

It's not purple and green, it's mauve and moss. Men, I tell ya. Wait, that's not right...

I love the clean lines and the overall feel of this map. I can't wait o see how you indicate increasing levels of detail and information.

Another new face and new map. Cool.

We have a few posts on tectonic plates going on at mo and RobA has a great tut about fractalizing coastlines to help get more crinkly bits if you need them.

Looking good. Oh another Swede. Pop yourself on the members map if you like. Theres a fair few Swedes now.

Thanks for the comments! The map was supposed to be in green and light blue colors, but the texture made it moss green and purple/eggplant or whatever color it is

Here is the progress. I've changed the color, added mountains and some decoration. In due time I will start to zoom in and draw regional maps.
But for the moment I will start figure out the climates, rainfall etc

The only problem that I see with the map as it stands now, is that a lot of the outlines around the smaller islands are square.
