    Post Greetings

Hey all. 18 y-old fellow from US here. I've been doing cartography since I was a young child recreationally. Never anything fancy beyond a piece of paper and a pencil to mark stuff down. While I've been on the internet for a number of years and knew there must be some community for those with similar hobbies to myself, I never knew it would be so large and organized as I'm seeing here. While I may not have any digital artistic talent yet, I hope to learn a lot in my time here.

What comes to artistic talent, you don't neccessearly have to have it to make good maps. The key point in my opinnion is having a good overall concept of what you are doing and what the techniques are to achieve your goals. This forum provides most of the tools to create your maps, and start developing an unique style of your own.
