Thread: Techniques for forests and trees

Question Techniques for forests and trees

I'm doing some overland maps with colored pencil for a fantasy rpg campaign I'm running. I've got the mountains looking pretty good and the lakes and rivers are okay. What I can't get right are the forests and trees. Are there any tutorials or how-to threads on this forum that cover techniques for putting good looking forests on fantasy maps? I'm not using a computer for this, just to be clear.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

Not sure what style you may be aiming for but the following link is pretty much the best one for hand-drawn style...I think trees start on page 3 of the thread.
