    Post Hello

Hello. My name is Michael. I am 29 years old and not worried about turn 30, unlike all my friends. I only recently began seriously attempting to make good quality maps. For years, I'd hand sketched maps for the various gaming groups I participated in, but they were quick and dirty things unworthy of scanning. And frankly, I can't find any of them.

My current interest in cartography started when I began taking notes for a novel set in a historically different Earth. I just couldn't keep track of which multi-national empire controlled what region, etc, and thought a map would be helpful. Man, did I bite off more that I could chew! I'm nearing completion of defining the national borders, so soon I'll be starting in on labeling. I've found many of the tutorials y'all have written to be very helpful. Thanks, everyone.

Maybe after I'm done with this map, I'll try a Sorol-scape atlas project. That should keep me busy for years!
