Create Adobe PDF Online
Somewhere here there has been some discussion about putting tutorials into PDF format (I looked and looked! Where did it go?? LOL ). Mac's can do it easily from the "print" function, but I understand it's not so simple in the rest of the computer world.
Maybe things have improved since that post. Or not!

The export function of Adobe InDesign works great too. Especially if you've made the tutorial with that program.

Creating PDF documents from MS Word 2007
Hello, All.
Microsoft Office 2007 has a downloadable plug-in (from microsoft.com) that allows you to save a Office document from one of the four main applications (Access, Excel, Power Point and Word) as a PDF or XPS file.
What I do is I create the tutorial in Word, edit and format it then save it as a PDF document.

I recommend CutePDF Writer (for Windows).

It's basically a printer driver. It's free. It's legal. You choose it as your printer (when printing) and it leaves you with a PDF. It's been a while since I used it (we installed it on all the computers at my old job), but dont' remember having any problems with it at all - it was so simple I don't even remember any other staff asking me for help. I can't remember, though, if the text in the PDF is searchable or not, though I'm sure their web page will let you know.
Open Office is the overwhelmingly simple option.
Also free and legal.
You can even make it do tables of contents as hyperlinks.
