Post Game Dev says hi :)

    Hi everyone,

The email told me to say hi, and I didn't want to seem uncooperative, so hi

I'm a Computer Games Design teacher at Victoria University, Australia. I'm currently developing an indie role-playing game, and while I was bumbling around the internet looking for tutes or references for map making, I stumbled upon this site. I have to say, I've made more progress in the 10 minutes I've been here than I have in the last few days.

The community here looks nice. I think I may just float around for a while, and see what it has to offer, and what I have to offer it.

    Welcome Aboard!

Lots of great tutorials to peruse, and feel free to ask any questions. We tend to be a helpful bunch.

    P.S. Don't feed the CLs

Welcome, poke about, and do us proud with a great map

    Post Welcome!

    Welcome, "Z"!

You've found the unofficial Academy for Fictional Cartography, if you want a proper introduction. Many of our "master cartographers" came here as adepts only, but have traveled the path to excellence with the help we have to offer. I wouldn't be the only person that thought so.

So kick your shoes off, take a gander at the WIP maps, the Finished maps, look at our Challenge Maps too - which is a great way to get involved with the CG. Visit our tutorial library and map elements board, there's lots to see here.

We will want to see your skills soon, so get some kind of map in your application of choice and let us tweak and guide you to a better map.

    Again, welcome!
