    Question Monster D&D table chart

    Hi from the grave,

I'm trying to create a program in Access for combat and monster listing in my world.

But I need to find a table (excel or otherwise) that would contain all the monster info (at least there basic stat) from the monster manual 1 (or more) so that I will not have to transfer them down manually.

    Any help would be welcome.

    Sea-U-Hall,
    Alu.

    Theres the SRD

    http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/monsters.htm

though you would have to go through the pages and extract the stats. Some of the DM helper tools...err um DMGenie and err whatever other ones there are have a lot of their stats as XML blocks which ought to make extraction pretty simple. Dont ask me about licensing tho - I never quite got the details about the two free licenses but the SRD is free to rip and use in certain ways.

BTW you can link these SRD pages to the monster icons in my app with a little web hot link - pretty useful if your the DM.

Doesn't look like it would be too hard to make a script to pull out most of the stuff you need from an online SRD.

Of course, the BIG question for me is:

    What version of the game?

There is some GREAT stuff available already for 1st/2nd edition, as well as some already published 3 and 3.5 edition stuff.

As to 4e, I find the insider already has everything I want and need.

    Sorry, I forgot

I use 3.5 stuff or at least 3rd edition.

I don't even know if the 4th edition is a good one yet, so since we play the campaign from Paizo.com I still stick with 3.5.

The link was cool, the guy did a great job, but a database of stat will be more helpful and faster to use for me. Any more Idea
