    Post this is the beginning...

    Hi everyone,

recently started GMing with a group of people and am keen as cheese to start building the world around them.

stumbled upon the forum whilst looking for some pre-made maps, but instead took to photoshop last night and started banging away on my antique computer - which was easily up to my level of skill.

here is my first attempt, which was a variant of this tutorial: http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/tu...-in-photoshop/

i was very happy with the topographical style (for a random map!)

    Anyways,
    happy to be here

    Post Welcome!

Well, its always good to post a map in first thread post - always good for some REP, have some then!

Welcome to the guild. I like that you were compelled to map, instead of just using the many offered here, its our real purpose at the Guild.

Anyway, check out some of our tutorials here as well, we have some good ones for Photoshop, and many of the GIMP tuts can almost be ported to doing in PS.

    Again, welcome!
