    Post Mount Karou Area

    Hey Fellas!

Currently I'm starting up a Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition online campaign. For this campaign I created the following map.

For those interested, take a look at the Campaign Wiki.

Also, for those really interested, we still need one more player!

Excellent map, you have combined some great techniques into a truly excellent style.

    Thanks a lot, folks!

I'm still trying to find a way to make the empty spaces where there are no mountains nor forests more lively. I'll try to work some more small differences in height via the normal ground-texture as well as another greyish rock-texture.

Keep in mind I'm stilling missing a bunch of spots on the map, where I will place more villages and towns, maybe another city, too. And ruins. Many ruins. You can never have enough rope. Uhm, ruins that is.

I'll keep you up-to-date with the maps

Don't over-clutter it, I like the big open spaces. I like to swing a big sword and I need lots of space

Very nice map, have some rep. Just wondering, what is a 'wonder'?

Anything where the majority of people when first seeing/experiencing it take a second and go "Wow..."

Now that you mention it i am kind of curious myself...

More rep coming your way. Excellent map!
I really like the layout, the colors, the mountains and the trees.

The only thing that looks a bit out of place to me is the purple text.

As for the empty areas: you might add some more trees to suggest some more heavily wooded areas. But I wouldn't overdo it.

Thanks again for the Input folks. I will try not to overdo it

As for wonders, in the Wiki I linked in the initial post it is explained shortly. Basically, in this campaign world the mortal races awoke 200 years and remembered nothing of the previous 500 years and found the world in ruins, dangerous and deadly.

Some old realm had existed in the missing 500 years and this realm had developed things nobody could ever dream of. Wonders are those things.

Wonders include more simply things like Stormtrains and Airships, which are similar to Eberrons. Besides those two there are other things, like the Messanger Arrays, which are basically huge stations that can communicate with each other over any distance immediately. There are also the enigmatic Light Pyramids which glow with an intensity nearly that of the sun day and night, but nobody has ever found out what they really do.

The Wonders are a defining factor of this campaign world and over the couse of the campaign it will more and more be revealed what happened...

Again: If you're interested in joinin, I'm still looking for one more player!

    Very nice!

I think the only thing you might want to consider is doing something with the font colors - the black lettering at times is especially difficult to read. Maybe a slight glow around it to help readability.

    Map On!
