I haven't posted yet on this site, but I browse it a lot, a lot, and I just realized how much of what I read and explore seeps in without my knowing when today, as I drove from Geneva, Switzerland to the Mont Blanc in France, passing by the most beautiful scenery, particularly hilly and mountainous regions, all I could think of was how to recreate the terrain on maps using the techniques explained and taught on this site...particularly those hills with all those forests, and the craggy mountain tops....

Just wanted to pay my little homage to the cartographers of this site, and to their knowledge and enthusiasm which is shared so freely.
