    Post June Entry: Sorrosens Caravan

Not a well known Halfling - and he tries to keep it that way thank you very much - Sarrosen travels in this exquisitely made caravan to various towns and performs as a story teller, juggler and musician. He is not noted for being particularly great as a performer. Eminently forgettable is the desire. His jokes fall a bit flat and he misses a note here and there but he just about gets by. Which is at odds since the caravan is of such excellent workmanship its just assumed that this is halfling quality at work.

Of course Sarrosen is a master thief with plenty of money and ability. The caravan is of high standard to take on the magic used to augment it. Its lighter and harder than the apparent wood. Its also fire resistant and slightly magic resistant too. He can use many magic items and cast a few of the weaker spells. Theres a rack of scrolls inside. Some are spells, others are maps and notes.

I have roughed out some of the insides but I am concentrating on the exterior for now. There will be a leather tarp over the top with several heavy crossbows around amongst the roof top luggage.

So for now here it is so far...

EDIT - got bored so did some more views.

    Post Great place to start!

Glad to see you in the challenge Redrobes! That halfling wagon actually looks pretty cool, cant' wait to see more.

Plus I was really hoping we'd get more than five entries - seven now, since I really didn't want to see voting stuck to a single vote.

Boy, I hope you win one of these challenges someday.

Looking forward to your next update.

Hah - you and me both

It will end up as a map of the interior with notes about all the cool little widgets and modifications he's had made to it. I have been reading The Hobbit again and was swayed by Bilbo's little tunnel. I had a halfling thief a long time ago who didn't have a caravan but had a portable hole with lots of stuff in it. I was initially tempted to do that but its not so interesting to map. I used to have a cage on casters inside that would rotate and the character had an amulet which prevented him from requiring to breath so he could stay in it. Very high level dude he was with x5 backstab... ahh fond memories. I probably have the character sheet still in the loft.

EDIT -- Just made a banner for it in suitably poor cloth and signage. All expense spared ! Thats probably all I will be able to do now till next week...

All I have to say is "Dude, this is nice!"

Yeah, I also like the RV/wagon idea for this challenge. It would be fab if you could figure out some way to put the map and this model on the same image.

Just texturing some of the insides. He still needs a chair some more stuff like books in the book case and a few more bits and pieces. I need to do a mini map for the pages of the book. I think a little chest with a set of lock picks too on the desk. Theres some more on the outside to do yet too but its coming along.
