    Wip WIP: Flange Wilds

    hey.

    I'm working on mapping a region thats predominantly forested (the forest is the general brown area in the middle) theres also some border plains region. still working on it; for some reason I'm not that inspired... any ideas?

    I like the colours, but maybe some textures to lift it a bit?

    I had a go with some machine wash filters (hope you don't mind!).

    Some labels would add to the general look as well.

    I don't know, I like it as it is. I'm generally not a fan of things that have too much going on.

    sorry to triple post, but i have to ask you guys what you think of the map key. before i go any further, i need feedback on it. are the icons too big? is the shape distracting? is it good as is? keeping in mind that this is going to print out pretty big, and be used for table reference, is it a good size? also, id appreciate any ideas on a font, one that compliments the ones im already using.

    I like the style you chose for the map key - fist your style perfectly. Regarding the size, I'd probably make the icons 75% or 66% the size they are now. Another thing I noticed is that you copy/pated the icons from the map? I'd remove the "road dots" that were carried over with the city icons.
