Thread: New Guy - Totally Lost

Info New Guy - Totally Lost

Hey all, I'm the new guy. I'm interested in map making mostly for RPG (Dungeons and Dragons specifically) purposes. I've hand drawn all previous maps, though have made a few attempts at computerized maps without any help or tutorials. Needless to say, they came out pretty basic and ugly. I'm really impressed with Spiderfates map
    and Clercon's map:

If people have advice for making the forests and mountains these guys use, I'd love to hear it. Hopefully before too long I can put up my own WIP once I've gotten some basics down. Looking forward to hearing from y'all.

    Welcome Whyldman!

The style Clercon used for his map has been ported to Campaign Cartographer 3. But if you don't use that software or want to buy it, there are all kinds of tutorials on this website. Or you could just ask the people who made the maps how to do reproduce something.
Check out my City Designer 3 tutorials. See my fantasy (city) maps in this thread.
