I have been puttering around this site since learning about it on Penny Arcade. I have been using the links and resources to help map a D&D 3.5 campaign that I am currently running.

I started out mapping in Autorealm, but have since progressed to using GIMP, RPG City Generator and Macromedia Fireworks.

I am also a bit of a wiz with Google SketchUp. I use it regularly in my professional life as a museum exhibit designer and have lectured on its uses for that purpose at the University of Washington. I have tinkered with SketchUp for map making, but find that it gets too clunky too fast. Still, I have created some aesthetic maps of structures from my campaign and am more than happy to help people out with SketchUp questions.
