Merely decorative. The blue and red stamps were supposed to represent random (Or not-so-random?) doodles by some Faerie who got ahold of the map. The circles within the blue stamp line up over key locations/places of magical energy...

This is pretty cool. I dunno whats going on in the lands around here tho. Avalon seems to be riding high - as it does but then... well... some serious geological shenanigans have been evoked and twisted it a bit. Its a seamless change into the fantasy at this point tho. I like it.

EDIT -- Modern "Avalon" pic attached with the Tor on top. The hill with the Tor would have been an island in old times before they drained the low lands. I would imagine that some of the other hills around would be above water too. Must have looked mighty odd and magical.

    That's a great pic.

Cheers - if your interested then heres the Tor itself and a pic from the hill looking back to the hills from where the first pic was took. Its a very bumpy landscape and has some very interesting places to go in that area.

These are awesome. Reminds me of that challenge map a few months back by Map Vandal...The Orchards. I could look at these all day long.
