    Map Windows map for 4e

    Hello,

First time poster, long time admirer and lurker!

The attached map was created by making a rough map by hand, scanning the map and manipulating it with Microsoft Word. I know it's cluttered but once its blown up to 11"x17" its not quite as bad.
Obviously this is no where near the quality of the maps posted by the amazing artists of CG but I thought it might be encouraging to others to see that you can make something servicable on a common application like Word.

The map expands on the Nevtir Vale in the D&D 4e Dungeon Masters guide.

Please be kind, I don't have any map making experience or actual software.

    Thanks!

    Welcome Aboard!

Now that's a first, a scanned hand-drawn map modified with MS-Word...kudos for even attempting it.

It's a nice little map, especially with using Word to manipulate it.

You may want to consider downloading the GIMP (it's free), and can do many of the things Photoshop can do (and some better).

Hmm. I've done simple street-maps in Word, but this is definitely something unique and different. The handdrawn portion looks pretty good, btw, fairly classic in appearance.

Pimping my worldmap here. Still WIP... long way to go, but I'm pretty proud of what I've done so far...

I love the symbols on this, especially the towers of Avaellor.

    Great work.

GIMP is an open source graphics program, much like photoshop or paint shop pro - except that its free (gimp.org).

There are many members here who use it.
