    There are I believe, a couple of tutorials here on making brushes in PS.

    If not then I'm sure someone who knows how to do it will be along shortly to explain it.

    The quick explanation is to hide all the layers but the one with your symbol (i've seen it pick out the background layers as well), select around what you want as the brush, then go to the Edit menu, and choose Define Brush.

    I just tested it in 7, works like a charm. Just remember that anything white will be transparent, and anything other than solid black will get levels of greyscale opacity (darker = more opaque)

    I just noticed that I have PS6, not 7. You see that startup screen so many times, you stop taking the time to read it....

    Thanks for the tip though, Coyotemax. It works in 6 and will save me alot of time!
