Thread: Port City of Jartor

  1. #1

    Post Port City of Jartor

Drawn in Serif Drawplus X3, Context Free and using Wag's tree symbols.

It was a fun project but very time intensive. I rushed the title which doesn't really do the map justice. There was a lot more I wanted to do with it, but I ran out of energy in the end and R/L is going to be taking me away from mapping for awhile so I had to get it done.

Well Ravells, in the end I rushed all my big city maps. It gets really tedious sometimes and then when you can see the finish somewhere around the corner...

Anyway, it turned out pretty well I think! And I know what an immense effort this took. Have some rep

You could always go back to the map later. You won't like that idea at the moment, but I recently redid some of the city maps that I cursed and told myself I would never touch again

Yeah, right now I'm sick of the bloody thing! . I probably will come back to it and finish off much of what I had in mind but that's going to be a much later. Months I think. Thanks for the rep!

    Came out nicely Ravs!

Love the idea of using rope as the border.

Doh! Didn't even notice the rope.
Ravells, what font were you using for labels like "Parade ground" or "Bailey" in the northwest of the map?

Why would it be hated? Because it's overused?

Impressive map. And interesting choise of color for the water. It gives a very different feel than any shade of blue would.

I actually like the 'Papyrus' font and don't view it as overused.

However 'Comic-Sans' definitely is overused (IMNSHO) and it irritates the crap out of me for some reason when people at work use it in e-mails.
