    Post Hi Everybody!

My name’s Ted Reed. I’m thrilled to be here!

I’m a professional portrait and figure painter, and art instructor, who moonlights as a freelance author, illustrator, and cartographer for the RPG industry.

My first love is cartography. I’ve had maps published in Pathfinder, Serenity RPG, Kobold Quarterly Open Design, Dungeon Magazine, Zombie Sky Press, Reality Deviants, and other publications. On the writing side, I just won a 2009 Origins Award for Best RPG Supplement for Serenity Adventures and had my first Paizo D&D adventure published in Pathfinder Issue 23. I’m a member of the WereCabbage Writers Guild (from whom many of my industry cartography and illustration contacts have grown). I’m looking for professional contacts or just kindred spirits who share my obsession with mapmaking.

My fantasy illustration and cartography website is here: Linky!

Better yet, the Cartography page of that website is here: Cartography Link!

And my fine art website is here: Fine Art Linky (Sadly, this is my only up-to-date website)

    Nice to meet you all!

Now, how do I get started sharing my work and checking out yours?

    Welcome...

Probably the easiest way is to check the Finished Map Forum (and the WIP forums as well) to see work by the various members.

    Welcome to the guild Ashenvale!
You have created some very nice art. Some highlights for me:

    - The Court of the River King
    - Birch Queen's Fair (I have never seen a map resembling it).
    - Arianne's Suitor (Not a map, but I dig it! The woman is from a portrait you did I think?)
Check out my City Designer 3 tutorials. See my fantasy (city) maps in this thread.

Great looking maps. You have a variety of map types and pull them all off very, very well. Thanks for introducing yourself here.

Whoah, I really like the portraits ! I used to do life classes for a couple of years and I know how hard it is. Needless to say mine are all garbage...

Welcome - you'll be just fine...

Welome Ted, great to see you made it over here (Jon Roberts in real life and your co-conspirator on River King).

Thanks for the link to the website - you're overland map for Fiend's Embrace was a real inspiration for me. I loved the perspective take you went for. Great to have you around here.
