Thread: From Krenna to Beledira (Scaling Work)

    Nice start. My only criticism is that some features are a bit soft. Particularly the forest edges and the mountain detail. The forests might be better served by a dissolve rather than a fade around the edged. Not sure how to sharpen up the mountains more.

    The mountains are unfortunately a scale up of the emboss layer from the world map (used your mountain specific tutorial) I tried simply re-doing the mountains from scratch a few times, and just couldn't get reasonable results...

    The forest can be handled...

    I think when I break this continent up into smaller maps, I'll be looking at other styles for the map... recreating those mountains just isn't gonna happen and I'll finally be at a scale where rivers aren't less than 1/2 a pixel wide...

    Okay, so I've had zip luck fixing the forests or mountains, so I'm moving on... here's the start of the borders, and labels...
