    Wip Well, one of my first attempts...

    This is my first attempt at a "satellite" view of a map using Photoshop...

    I'm pretty proud of it for it being a learning process, and anything you all can offer up as far as critique goes would be wonderful!

    Not bad, pretty good actually for a first go. You're certainly on the right track and have a solid foundation to build upon. Take a look through the Tutorials section and you'll find lots of things to experiment with to go even further.

    At the very least you won't be getting a visit from the River Police, I think. They look pretty good for the most part. Higher resolution would be great though, makes it easier to see the details.

    I agree with Wormspeaker, a higher rez image would be nice.

    Overall it looks good. One suggestion I have is to blend the transition between the beach/coastal terrain and the more generic terrain.
