    Wip September Entry: Queens Quarry

This is the V.1 to my entry for this months design challenge. I've been lurking here for a year-ish and I always intend to post... and when I saw I had a hole in my schedule, I decided to give it a shot... will I finish... hmm... hard to tell... I started this about two weeks ago, I think that is within the timeline needed. Also, this is a WIP, so um, how do I notate that?

Most of the stuff I do is for tactical, tabletop battle maps. This is an example of that. Full size is 17x22".

Anyway, I intend to take this view of a quarry (cut from whole cloth in Photoshop and Illustrator) and show what a location might look like after a battle has taken place.

    Stuff I have to do:

    • Fix several things on the "before" (too long to list).
    • Add tactical symbols to the "before".
    • Create custom elements for the "after" (I'm thinking a busted trebuchet)
    • Add some bones and dried blood etc...
    • figure out how to show some footprints and such...

Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I think it's a good start to a battlemap demetri. The challenge ends tomorrow. I suspect you didn't realize that?

Actually it looks as if Ascension will be closing the entries late on the 27th (~midnight CST). So you still have some time.
