Post [Award Winner] Two simple Inkscape tutorials

I decided to do two simple tutorials for Inkscape. The first one is about making map symbols and curved text, the second how to create a simple coat of arms.

Inkscape offers an easy and fast method to create your own map symbols like I did for my October 09 entry, Trade map of the Ynchong Empire.

If you dig the concept of vector drawing you can make jewels, swords, buildings, flags...everything, rather easy and fast in a clean style.

Don't forget to rate the tut if you find it useful [shameless self promotion ]

Thanks for posting this, Sapiento! I've been frustrated with inkscape lately, but this is the first place I'll head if/when I decide to try it again.

    Great!
I just installed Inkscape and I don't understand how to use it.

    Thank you very much

Thanks. That's why I made the tutorials. Inkscape can be pretty hard to understand for new users.

Thank you for posting this. The manual I knew already, but the other site is new for me. Great source of knowledge.

Sorry Sap, but I've been trying to track down the user who gave ya that compliment for a few days now....spammer. I've see a bunch of similar posts like that recently with non-link sigs.

Nothing to be sorry. Maybe some of our members saw the post and can now use the tutorial for the projects.
