Help WIP My first region - concept sketch.

So here is the basic idea for a map of a kingdom and its neighbors for a fantasy RPG setting. I've included rough latitude markings to give an idea of scale. It's an Earth-sized planet to keep things simple. Wind blows from East-to-West from the sea.

Does this terrain make sense? Where can I improve?

    Thanks!

    It's a pretty good start.

You might want to consider putting in foothills around the mountains.

Looking at this map, as it is, I would expect to see 3 empires in total.

    North Empire
    West Empire
    Coast Empire

The "coast empire" will probably be separated into two major provinces/duchies divided by a line that would go between the mountain ranges. Where it goes exactly is sketchy and doesn't matter heaps, but that's probably where it would go.

Depending on the level of "rebelliousness" or civil war in the Coast Empire, there may be significant fortifications in that narrow valley.

What the other empires look like is unpredictable based on the map you've got so far...
