All 3 of my maps here were done primarily in Illustrator.

Cheers & rep to another Iller!

Well deserved, I think. I'm looking forward to more from this "n00b".

This is it after an hour or so struggling with textures in Photoshop. Anyone know of a good tutorial explaining them? I've tried and tried. No luck.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. The port city of Gildenstern should be on it's way soon.

The thing that bugs me now, are the trees. I need to find a good way of making them.

Toff, your projection of Ceres is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I've never seen a projection of a non-spherical object before. Did you come up with that???

Bah! I can't stand the trees above... here's without the highlights...

Well, the planet is spherical, and the wings are flat, and it's just a straight view of the dayside and the nightside, so I'm not sure what you mean by projection. You mean the nano view @ middle top?

This Rosencrantz map is really nice. It looks simple but that's an illusion. I think it just holds itself together well ... it has integrity. I look forward to seeing what you do with the trees.

    LOL!

I really like your map. It's so clean and crisp. It's wonderful.
Royal: I'm very sorry for your loss, your mother was a terribly attractive woman.

I agree with Töff. The map looks simple, yet it isn't. It looks great... can't wait to see you do larger cities. I am a bit of a city nut
