Well, I'm tossing my hat in the ring as well. I'm going to create a "magic compass". Here is what I have so far. I am doing it completely in PhotoShop.

I think the most exciting thing about this one is that I like the graphic above (a lot), and I cannot figure out how you are going to turn it into a compass rose! Hmmm...you've piqued my interest!
