    Post How to turn one PNG File to GPL File?

    The question is on the title. I downloaded one PNG File and i want to save it in a foulder of the palettes gimp, but it have to be an GLP File. How i make it?

    You need to sample the image to turn it into a gradient.

    Assuming the image is nothing but a gradient (like this):


    use this script: http://registry.gimp.org/node/15847

    to turn it into a Gimp Palette you can use. If it is a vertical gradient, rotate it first.

    Where i paste the script to the Gimp accept it?

    Save scripts into your personal gimp script directory.

    If XP it would be something like C:\Documents and settings\loginname\.gimp2.6\scripts (for version 2.6)
    Linux is under .gimp2.6\scripts in your home directory.
