    Post Karnak

Hello All, its been a while since i've been on. I've been moving, new job, blah, blah, blah. Now i looking to get back to making maps and adventures. My current project is to turn a map of Karnak into a fantasy map. I'm not an artist, so I'm limited to graphics that come with CC3. Attached are the actual maps of Karnak...

    Wip Northern Complex

Harder than I thought it was gonna be. Here is a very rough draft of the northern complex. Its a bit bland right now, but I'm hoping for some ideas (shameless). I havent added any of details, because i am just trying to get the major buildings right. Let me know.

Looks pretty good so far... and it's an interesting idea.

Looks good so far, though the stone seems a bit to orange-y to me.

    Steel,

by stone.. are you refering to the ground?? The walls are supposed to be an earthy color. Let me know, so that I can make some adjustments.

The walls and roofs are indeed orange-y, maybe shift towards a light tan instead.

Sorry, should have been more clear, I meant the walls, etc.

Looks good. Doing a good job so far. For ease, have you read my TUTORIAL on placing BMPs into CC3 and using them to trace your map onto?I think you would find the speed would go up dramatically.

    Wip 2nd try

ok, here is the reworked northern precinct. still just trying to get the look down so nothing is final yet. i've also been playing around with the walls of the main precinct. Let me know.

I have not read your tutorial. could you link it for me. I would love to look at it. I'm actually surprised, because this is proving to be more difficult than i thought. I'm used to overland maps.... structures are more complicated than i thought.

    thx,
    Marc

That looks much better color-wise. I might swap the blacks out for something dark brown or medium brown, though.
