Post November Entry - The Sundered Lands

"And then the Dark God Urzugdú burst forth from the earth and his fury tore the land asunder. Death and destruction rained down upon the people of Utheniel and the world was changed forever."

This idea just popped into my head this morning so I banged this out in a few hours. I've been wanting to do a "hand-drawn" map in photoshop for awhile and this seemed like my opportunity. There's going to be more to come in the north of the map. I should be able to get it done in time.

    Ooo nice job.

Dark and evocative. The Diablo Font is a nice touch.

That's fantastic! The rivers in particularly look brilliant, and I love the detail in the coasts.

Wow, that is nice. I really like the water indicators around the coast.

brilliant idea. I like the map very much.

If I may ask as you said something of hand drawn. Do you use a graphics tablet for the job? I just ask because I was thinking about buying some as a kind of christmas gift for myself.

Yeah, I used a Wacom tablet. I got a cheap one ($90 at Best Buy) almost a year ago and it was a great purchase. I use it all the time now.
