    Map My First Map

    Hello,

Earlier I posted my sons first map. It was made in CC3. I really liked the ease use for his map, but I wanted to try my map in PS...

I am an absolute beginner at map making and PS!

I followed one of the tutorials that was posted by Jezelf. I'm sure that I didnt do things right, but it took me a while to do so I wanted to get some feed back on it. things on it arent geographically correct so Ill take any input that you all have.

This isnt a world that I thought up, I just wanted to try CS4 out and see if I could do it.

    Here is my map:

I like the overall shape of the land masses and the colors are good (except for the rivers). You have a good start here.

One thing I would suggest is to decrease the bevel on the land, it looks like everything has cliffs (unless that's what you intended ).

Also some of your rivers do some strange things, such as going from 'ocean to ocean'.

Thanks for the input. I wasnt too sure about the river placement. Also i was trying for a 3D look but i guess i took it too far.
