    Info MapTool Demo

If anyone is interested in the Virtual Table Top program called MapTool, a demo will be ran this Thursday, August 30, at 9:00 PM EST.

If you are not sure what MapTool is, it is a program that allows you to play a game over the internet and uses whatever map you want to use along with tokens that represent your characters. It includes fog of war and other cool features that adds to the atmosphere of the game. It can also be used to play in a Face-to-Face setting as well.

I'm sorry I missed this - this program looks very impressive. Seems like a nice alternative to the upcoming WotC Digital Initiative. And you can't beat the price.

Demos are ran all the time. I would strongly recommend that if you want a demo, you go join the forums and post that you are looking for a demo. Dorpond loves running them and does a great job.

I used MapTool last night for a new Hero System game that just started, it worked well even though it didn't have the Hero System specific stuff in it. We just had to treat it like a face to face game and do all the calculations and such ourselves.
