Post GIMP Pattern help for ISO weave

Ok.. I have been scratching my head for a few weeks off and on trying to come up with a weave tillable pattern to represent farmland on an ISO projection, but I be damned if my brain can get the geometry right to make it look correct. Could someone please help before my poor brain explodes? My original goal was to make the pattern (with transparency) add the pattern to new layer set to multiply and with a green layer underneath, the pattern turns a nice darker shade of green. Here:

Size: 9.7 KB is a sample pattern of weave I just made quickly that tiles to show the type of thing I was looking for but I just can't get it right when trying to build it as an ISO projection weave.

Here is a link to the ISO pattern I got started on with the lines set up in GIMP xcf format...

    Okay, do the following:

    • Tile an area with this pattern.
    • rotate by 45 degrees
    • Shrink vertically by 57.74%
    • Crop down to a rectangle that contains all of one central diamond

Play with that new rectangular pattern to check that it tiles properly.
