    Post S.S. Orion

    Hi everyone

Just wanted to show off my work. I've never used a 3d model program before and I got addicted pretty easy. Here's a wip for a tabletop rpg I'm making.

Looks good to me...all angular and techy n stuff.

    Thanks
I used Google Sketchup 6 and mixed some styles to make it look 'sketchy'.

Looks very good indeed. Sketchup is a lovely program, but I just can't seem to get comfortable with the interface. Have some rep by the way

Oh my.... looks like I started a Sketchup rage here...
For the first time? OMG that is beautiful! But... you should let us see a normal, textured version of it. If you could send me the model, I could make some really nice, rendered pictures of it: jasper.horst@live.nl

Looks really good, reminds me a bit of the early 'star destroyers' from the Star Wars movies.

    Thanks guys

I was actually going to texture it, but the stock textures with sketchup aren't that great and I couldn't really find any that easily. I downloaded Kerkythea to render the ship as is but it comes out all jaggy after I changed some settings (i haven't learned that software at all...)

I've got some other small ships in the works. One is actually sitting on the landing strip on the side of the hull, though I don't think you can make it out in the picture.
