    Post Morhaven test style

Started as a test drive of using styles to quickly make and change maps "on the fly" (see the other thread: http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?t=8825).

Now I'm thinking I will use this style in my campain project and have started to refine it. Using this way of working I can hopefully produce lots of maps quickly. The map below was made in about 2,5 hours but then I did alot of testing along the way.

    Comments more than welcome.

I like the map, one qualm would be that it feels unbalanced.... As in the forests look fairly sharp, whereas the mountains look very soft... to me it doesn't quite fit... still a nice style, and I'll be interested to see it evolve!

Update... adjusted the style for the mountains. Added a sand layer... added a farmlands layer. Adjusted some colours + some other minor fixes..

The second map has an got the glass texture on the water.

Another small update/test. Removed the sea floor relief + some minor fixes. I also did some "manual" work on the mountains to make them look better.

looks great! I love watching a style progress...

the only thing i noticed... i think its a drawing thing and not a problem with the style... the island on the bottom right... it seems to have lighter dots on it, looks speckled almost... was that on purpose? an oddity? or something else?

It's from the strokes that I draw that is the "base" for the mountain. I was just a bit uncareful when I drew - that's why the "dots" are there.

Lonely Isles, eh? Seems like a good place to sing a song about being on a boat.
