Wip WIP Estwind - for D&D 4e campaign

Using the awesome Saderan tutorial (http://www.cartographersguild.com//s...ran-a-tutorial), I was able to put this together last night.

Since I'm still working on it, the map doesn't include the regions, cities, or finer details I have planned but I'll be updating this thread as I go.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

Also, this is my first post in this forum. Yay me!

Welcome 121! Your map looks good, you seem to have experienced no trouble following the tutorial. I love Tear's style and you nailed it perfectly. The shape of the land looks convincing to me and I like how the land (the outer contours) seems to form some sort of oval. Have some rep!

Thanks for the compliment/rep Gandwarf. The map I attached is tiny compared to what the production map looks like. The full version I'm using is 3840x2160 @ 300dpi and 16bit CMYK as I plan on printing it out in a nice large format for my campaign. I noticed my Mac chewing a little near the end and I wonder how long saves are going to take once I finish adding all the fine detail.

I actually wanted to upload the most recent version of the map last night but got caught up in font choices and naming regions. I'll have a more recent version posted this evening.

I like the colors, but I think you should remove the beveling on the lake south of Woodwick, and check the river flow in those areas. Also I was curious about how you wanted Ul'Fon pronounced. (Some languages use ' to represent a glottal stop, but I believe that you can't make a glottal stop after an l).

    But it looks sharp!

Ul'fon is pronounced Ool (as in pool) fon (as in fawn). Likewise Ul'waru would be Ool-wah-roo. The region is an Orc kingdom and I wanted to have some play on their language for my D&D game. Ul meaning Orc, Ul'fon = Orc's land, Ul'waru = Orc's city. There are some finer points to the language that I have in my DM notes.
