Ya know, I was just thinking. This could really be something sweet but you'd have to bring in some more colors...lots of green right now. It's very Vaniya-esque but you could go all the way with some reds and oranges here n there to break up the green and make it really artsy. Just my 2 cents, shrug, it's still cool.

I was thinking about that too. Maybe some red/orange highlights, subtle-like , in the desert?

Yeah, and maybe around some coasts to act as funky beaches.

    I'm rather liking this.

The only feedback i could give would be the outer whitish glow on the mountain and forest labels. to me it doesn't *quite* right, and I was fighting with that on my own maps for quite some time. My solution was to not put on the glow (or to make it more closely match the colours on the land underneath it), and go to the lower layers (mountains, etc) to use a mask to outline the text and hide the terrain underneath that way.

Really, it's only a tiny minor point and a personal view towards the effect. (but to me, my eyes keep drawing to that, heh)

Doesn't change my liking of the map though!

Hmm... good point, I see what you mean. Now that you said that I can't stop letting my eyes get pulled to that either!
