My first attempt to make a dungeon. This is a hand drawn draft, which I will trace digitally to get clean and crisp lines. Critics and ideas are most welcome.
This looks fine, so far. The only thing that struck me is that the statues seem to come from widely different cultures/times, like ancient Greece, the Christan middle ages and the terracotta army, but I take it that's intentional?
Great start Sapiento!

This looks promising.
If the radiance of a thousand suns was to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the Shatterer of worlds.

I like it.
Re. Statue Crit - Wha! blankety blank blank!
Dollhouse Syndrome = The temptation to turn a map into a picture, obscuring the goal of the image with the appeal of cute, or simply available, parts. Maps have clarity through simplification.
looks really good - looking forward to seing the finished map
If the Khan had conquered a large portion of the world, the statues could have to do with tribute sent from all over

"...sometimes the most efficient way to make something look drawn by hand is to simply draw it by hand..."
It wasn't a criticism at all, but, you know, whatever...
A little bit more info on the map and the statues. The large one with the globe is the sun god (holding the sun). The three in the center are the high saints of the sun faith, while the larger group are statues from legendary and brave warriors.
The main rooms are all sacked, but in the upper right is the secret door which leads to the real tomb, not the fake tomb, that was plundered long ago.
And I have no problem with criticism. As this is the first dungeon in this style, I am open for comments.
