I didn't mean to sound so negative - I have nothing against a hierarchy and I do support all your goals. I think this is a mix-up over vocabulary: my understanding of a guild organisation (as opposed to, say, the way this site operates) is very specific and not positive; but re-reading your post I see that was not really what you meant at all.
I don't understand the negatives about such a University, I was thought all the English I know on a Forum about Total War Games because they had a general University where people could announce they wished to make a class. And then people signed up. I do not see any negatives at all. Or any reason why it en't feasible on this forum, I think it would be very cool for this forum to have.
