The tablet market isn't really that huge. I bought the small bamboo and it works fine - it sells for something like 80 Euro on Amazon.
Edit:
This is what I have: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-CTH461-B...6297364&sr=1-4
Works fine under win7.
No idea if here's anything more suitable for the price though, surely someone else can give more advice. :)
got a bamboo as well, works nicely - am thinking of upgrading to an intous though for better resolution - but I'll see if I can get to try it first :)
Well.. I think my price range is somewhere from 100 - 150.
At that price point, you're certainly best served by a Wacom Bamboo. Just make sure it's not the Bamboo Touch model, which doesn't have a pen.
Alternately, you could check eBay and Craigslist to see if someone's selling an older Intuos, which is a professional grade tablet. A few people have scored some really good deals that way. Do not be tempted by brands other than Wacom, though. I'm not a brand loyalist in most things, but I've heard a lot more complaints than praises coming from users of other brands.
Start with bamboo then if you want to upgrade go to an intuous don't worry about a cintiq too much investment to be worth it.
