So the other day someone showed me a program called 'Paint Tool SAI'.
It seems to be a nice program but I have still barely checked it out att all.
Does anyone here use it? What are your thoughts?
Are there any tutorials?
Cheers

Never heard of it.

I wonder if this is gimp based.
I think he means http://www.systemax.jp/en/sai/ and this is the first I've heard of it.
The reason I didn't give a link is because the link I found is in swedish.

Here it is anyway.
Yes those are the one from the wikipedia article.
Someone had posted something that they had done a few months back with this program. I can't recall who it was or how far back it was but it was this year. I had looked into it but didn't download it.
I use SAI a lot now after trying the demo out. It's a really light sketching program designed for tablets and has replaced Sketchbook/Open Canvas for me. I think the linework you can produce with it is superior to that of any other program I've tried and I also find it blends colours really well. You can also create vector layers too and it supports the .PSD format.
I did this in SAI (the second image in the thread, not the first): http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...aimaru-Islands
There's this set of tutorials which wikipedia also links to I believe:
