Help Fractal Terrains PNG export resolution problem

I'm following the Israh Tutorial to create a world map and regional maps from it. I'm at the stage where I need to export a png file showing the world's climate from FT. I'm saving the file as a 6000 x 3000 px image. However, when I open it in photoshop of an image viewer, what I see instead is a small image in the middle of a mostly empty 6000 x 3000 px layer. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

I don't know what is wrong, but in my case the only thing I managed to decently produce with FT have always been .bmp. Those can then be used in photoshop or converted in any other format.

I think I got it. It was necessary to to change the scaling of the world map under the projection options before saving and choosing the number of pixels for the image's width and height. 0.5 scale did the trick (more or less) for a 6000px by 3000 px image.
