    Post Reducing lists in GIMP

    I was wondering if there was an easier way to sort out choices in GIMP.

    What I am thinking here is for example:

    In the pattern select menu can you sort them by subdirectory etc, or do they all have to be there at the base level to sort through

    Is there a way to reduce the number of fonts GIMP selects, I just want to the list to show the about dozen that I use on maps rather than what I assume it does atm which is search through my computer for font files.

    There is a python brush manager: http://myweb.msoe.edu/~bogies/brushmanager/

    and a font manager for linux: http://fontmanager.blogspot.com/

    For windows, I use the freeware Font Thing: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~scef/tft.html

    I know of nothing existing for patterns but it should be possible to rewrite the brush manager to also manage patterns...
