    Post Gimp's Layer Effects Script

    So far I've been attempting to use it in Ascension's town tutorial, but I chose the script-fu version and on a midrange machine... it tries really hard to give the pc a corrinary...

    Should I swap to the python version when I install it at home? Or is it that memory intensive reguardless?

    The python version does seem to work pretty well on my laptop, once I got python-fu working.

    well, using it at home on the town tutorial, I started the emboss in the terrain section of the tut, and took a shower, and got dressed for work, it was still going when I left...

    Okay I know the base emboss and bevel in GIMP are pretty lethargic in abilities, but couldn't these scripts build on them instead of building bumpmaps pixel by pixel?
