I have an old map of Arnhem in my "inspiration" folder I really like what you've got going here. (and more halflings is a bonus too..) :)

Added some decoration, and did some meddling with the colors.
This is nice, my only suggestion would be to try and orient the buildings with the angles of the roads.
I know :) Need to work out a better way to make the buildings really.
For this style of map those buildings are perfect. I would just turn them so the long ends face the roads. I like the name (being partial to cities that begin with River...) :)
The map just gets better as I scroll down! :)
Funny. It sorta reminds me of a futuristic Venice...
