Looks good so far. I think you might need a bigger or better paper texture. The vertical lines in the background are pretty severe.
I like the muted colour scheme.
Is this a modern setting or ancient or ???

Cool feel to it so far. Understated. As for the harsh lines in the paper, Photoshop mend tool could probably fix that in about two minutes. As long as it's a separate layer.
